SUMMARY:Short-Term Pollutants & Their Outsized Impact
DESCRIPTION:Join us for an in-depth and accessible conversation about the under-appreciated impacts of methane\, refrigerants\, and black carbon (mostly soot) and their outsized\, near term impacts on warming. Current accounting methods inaccurately account for the severe impacts of these shorter-term pollutants\, which results in skewed priorities for action.  Linda Brown has been instrumental in developing\, promoting\, and implementing a new methodology for quantifying the relative impact of different warming pollutants\, helping policy makers prioritize different approaches to reduce emissions.
