Marti took a deep dive into climate action in 2012. She is a trained Climate Reality Leader and cut her climate activism teeth in Citizen’s Climate Lobby. Marti founded the Contra Costa Climate Action Network and co-founded the Contra Costa Interfaith Climate Action Network and 350 Contra Costa. Her organizing focuses is on developing and executing advocacy for local government climate solutions and promoting the election of local climate leaders. Her professional background is in fund raising. community organizing and design and facilitation of group and organizational change processes.   Marti lives in Moraga with her husband Dennis and, as of 2020, is enjoying grand mothering.
