Margo has spent two decades showing up for Pacifica, volunteering for the Pacifica Mothers Club before she even settled into the community. She’s been a math teacher for 23 years, is a Pacifica mom of two, and a passionate ocean-lover who has volunteered with the Pacific Beach Coalition since 2005. She claims her deep connection to Pacifica’s coastline is exactly what fuels her climate leadership.
Margo has been a strong and effective climate advocate and public servant, working on issues from building decarbonization to support for the federal Build Back Better and Inflation Reduction Acts, to direct involvement with development of the city’s Climate Action and Resiliency Plan (CARP), adopted in 2025. She trained as a Climate Reality Leader with Climate Reality Bay Area, worked on Pacifica’s climate task force to help develop the CARP, and now serves as Vice Chair of the city’s Climate Action and Resilience Committee.Â
Margo wants to do more for Pacifica, and on the council would bring her leadership skills to work on issues of homelessness, careful housing design that combines sustainability with infrastructure and traffic flows, the city’s structural deficit, and work on the Linda Mar Beach pollutants problem, among other issues.
If elected, Margo says her climate focus is on implementing Pacifica’s CARP, including efforts to cut greenhouse gas emissions, expand EV charging station accessibility (both public and private), and improve building sustainability.Â
Margo will be a wonderful asset to Pacifica’s city council.
