Protect affordable EV charging access before April 21: Call your Assemblymembers and ask them to OPPOSE AB 2748!
AB 2748 would result in 1) an unfair burden upon low-income households living in new affordable housing developments that are interested in owning an EV and 2) disincentivize the purchase of an EV.
AB 2748 would revert new affordable housing developments back to the 2022 building code – which would mean that in new multifamily developments, 60% of the spaces don’t have any EV charging infrastructure at all, so will require much more expense and labor to make them ‘EV ready’ later.
