We are happy to endorse Mark DeSaulnier for US Congress. We want to take this opportunity to show our appreciation and support for the work Mark has done to cut fossil fuels, build clean infrastructure, and support workers in moving to good green jobs for a just transition.

Even before coming to his current role in Congress in 2015, Mark was working for us on climate and the environment here in California, through his elected roles and through agencies like the California Air Resources Board and the Bay Area Air Quality Management Board. 

Since he was first elected to Congress, Mark has introduced bills such as:

•  Protecting Workers for a Clean Future Act 

• For grants to help local and tribal governments develop plans to move workers from fossil‑fuel jobs to sustainable‑energy jobs. 

• Jobs for a Carbon-Free Transportation System Act 

• To cut transportation‑related GHG emissions, boost funding for public transit and related infrastructure, and support transitioning workers.

• Clean Corridors Act 

• Establishing a grant program for EV-charging and hydrogen-fueling infrastructures along the National Highway System.

Mark has been working through the Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure in Congress, has worked on and supported many other bills, and boasts a lifetime League of Conservation Voters score of 100%!

One excellent thing about Mark is his attitude toward addressing climate change as a great opportunity for our society and economy.
