Ken’s a community servant who spent 10 years on the Pleasant Hill City Council before being elected to the Board of Supervisors in 2022. He has an eye for protecting the vulnerable, including legal support for immigrants, health care access for the under-served, and support for pet ownership and protection. As a supervisor he is also helping to protect our vulnerable climate and environment.Â
Ken holds vital positions for climate action. On the Board of Supervisors and as Vice Chair of the Contra Costa County Sustainability Committee, he supports important climate planning and implementation, such as through the on-going Climate Action Plan. He also sits on the Bay Area Air District board working on reducing air pollution and cutting emissions. Through the board, he supports the 9-6 and 9-4 rules to phase out gas appliance sales, while his commitment to equity and inclusion keeps him focussed on the need to include affordability in the transition development.
We are looking forward to seeing Ken continue on the District 4 Board of Supervisors.
