Robyn Kuslits is a U.S. Navy veteran, educator, and longtime community leader who has called Concord home since 2015. She is eager to bring her perspective as a tenant to the city council; roughly 38% of Concord residents are renters. Robyn is committed to championing solar power for apartments and condominiums, improving funding for lower-income residents to transition away from gas furnaces and water heaters, and making streets safer, with protected bike lanes to support increased active transportation.

Robyn currently serves as a substitute teacher in the Mt. Diablo Unified School District. She holds a law degree, and her prior experience includes four years in leadership roles with the Rainbow Community Center of Contra Costa, and over six years in the Navy as a nuclear propulsion and reactor plant supervisor and instructor.

With Veterans for Standing Rock in 2015, Robyn supported water protectors in North Dakota to oppose the Dakota Access Pipeline. As Concord City Councilmember for District 3, she’ll fight for social, racial, and environmental justice.
