350 Bay Area Action is proud to endorse Chris Herrod for Healdsburg City Council, District 4. Over the last four years, Chris has been on the city council and has led with a strong commitment to climate action. He played an important role in adopting initiatives such as the Healdsburg Climate Mobilization Strategy in 2023, and the city’s Active Transportation Plan in 2024. 

Chris is currently serving a one-year term as the Mayor of Healdsburg. Prior to being elected to the city council in 2022, he served on the Recreation and Parks Commission. He is running unopposed for reelection to the city council in 2026. He has been endorsed by Sonoma County Conservation Action, the Sonoma County Democratic Party, and Congressman Jared Huffman.

Healdsburg has its own municipal electric department. Chris is a strong supporter of solar expansion to reduce municipal electric costs, especially for low income residents. He believes strongly in decarbonization of buildings and supports a just transition from fossil fuels. He would vote for a ban on the construction of new gas stations in Healdsburg. 

Chris is the kind of leader Healdsburg needs on its city council.
