Andy Katz has decades of leadership in environmental causes with the Sierra Club and as a Director for the East Bay Municipal Utility District (EBMUD). He has actively worked to defend the United Nations Paris Climate Agreement, receiving a Sierra Club award for his efforts. He co-founded and served as a legal advisor to Elected Officials to Protect America, an organization uniting elected officials across the country to advance climate advocacy and policy.
Andy is a workers’ rights and environmental attorney. He has been working on water management with EBMUD for 18 years and has spent 14 years on a range of city commissions. He supports:
- Improved public transit options
- Safe bike infrastructure
- Accessible EV charging
- Berkeley’s just transition program to help homeowners electrify their homes
- And more
