In cooperation with our eight Bay Area Action local groups, our Electoral Team rigorously researches and queries up- and down-ballot candidates regarding their commitment to climate-focused action. We’ve vetted and confirmed that each candidate has also committed to not taking fossil fuel money. This year we have 61 endorsed candidates going in to office.
Below are the candidates we endorsed for the 2024 election, as well as the 2025 Oakland Special Election endorsees, whose seats were vacated by the 2024 election. We’re thrilled to announce that many of our endorsed candidates were successful or advanced to the next stage. For those who didn’t, we encourage them to persevere and consider running again in the near future. We eagerly anticipate working with all these climate champions, regardless of their roles, and are committed to supporting their impactful leadership.
