Margaret Abe-Koga, who has spent 16 years on the Mountain View City Council, boasts a remarkable record in sustainability initiatives: 

  • She played a pivotal role in funding a feasibility study leading to the creation of the Silicon Valley Clean Energy (SVCE) agency, where she served as Board Chair twice. 
  • Her efforts resulted in a building electrification subsidy program and the adoption of all-electric reach codes (strict local ordinances) for new construction. 
  • She also formed the Mountain View Citizen Sustainability Task Force and has served on the Bay Area Air Quality Management District, the Silicon Valley Clean Energy Authority, and the San Francisco Regional Water Quality Control Board. 

Abe-Koga has extensive endorsements,  as she prioritizes equity programs and supports affordable housing electrification and a wide range of environmental and community initiatives.
