Antonio López is a “Poetician” looking to make poetic change—first in East Palo Alto—and now in San Mateo County. In East Palo Alto, where he is on the City Council, he’s worked to green the city through its first Urban Forest plan.
In San Mateo County Antonio aims to:
- Support economic development and local infrastructure
- Make streets safe for bikes and pedestrians
- Make public transit more accessible
- Build more parks
- Build climate resiliency
Antonio serves as District Representative for Senator Josh Becker. He also sits on the Board of Directors of several community and government organizations. He understands the urgency of climate change and wants to increase electrification and green tech, while protecting and supporting opportunities for disadvantaged residents throughout the transition.
