Elected in 2020, Senator Josh Becker is a staunch advocate for climate action, chairing the Senate Budget Subcommittee on Resources, Environmental Protection, and Energy. 

Becker has authored numerous climate bills. A couple of highlights:

• SB 596, which aims for net-zero emissions in cement production
• SB 49, which incentivizes solar installations in parking lots and plans for solar along highways

His proactive approach and numerous legislative victories align with California’s clean energy transition and climate targets.
