Maria Bagley is an experienced executive with a passion for serving local communities. In her current role as Finance Manager for West County Waste Water District, she supports clean-energy investments to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and energy consumption. Maria previously served as Administrative Services Manager for Contra Costa Mosquito & Vector Control District, Senior Budget Analyst for Berkeley Unified School District, and Treasury-Investment Portfolio Manager Vice President for Bank of the West.
Committed to a sustainable, fiscally responsible transition away from fossil fuel dependence, Maria champions accelerated progress toward municipal building electrification and the conversion of the city’s fleet to zero-emission vehicles. She will fight for incentives to help lower-income residents access solar energy and electric appliances. Maria fully supports a green approach to the Concord Naval Weapons Station redevelopment project, which includes the construction of more than 12,000 housing units in proximity to public transit. She also supports the 2026 Regional Transit Measure, targeted to benefit five Bay Area counties, including Contra Costa. (Concord is the largest municipality in Contra Costa, which has the highest percentage of Bay Area residents traveling outside county lines for work.)
We look forward to the fresh, climate-conscious perspective that Maria will bring to the Concord City Council!
