Alameda County Board of Supervisors-District 4: Jennifer Esteen

Jennifer Esteen is a dedicated activist, nurse, and mother, and also a passionate advocate for climate action and environmental justice. She is committed to ensuring Alameda County residents can access affordable housing, healthcare, and jobs that pay a living wage.

Jennifer:

  • Serves as vice president of the Alameda Health System Board of Trustees
  • Former vice president of organizing for Service Employees International Union (SEIU) Local 1021 until she stepped down to run for office
  • Is co-chair of the Acting Directors for Public Bank East Bay

Notably, Jennifer represented the SEIU at the Big Oil Resistance Tour in Oakland in 2023, demonstrating her dedication to challenging powerful interests for the well-being of her community and the planet.

Expanding her impact beyond grassroots activism, Jennifer has chosen to bring her values to government service. In her Assembly race, she advocated for The California Green New Deal with a focus on reducing emissions, creating quality green jobs, and improving conditions for low-income and BIPOC communities. We know she’ll bring the same passion and skill to Alameda County.
