We are excited to endorse Chris Rogers, long-time climate champion.

Born in the district,  and working as a staffer for a CA state legislator,, Chris went on to the Santa Rosa City Council, serving as a member, and as Mayor, starting in 2016. While there, Chris has spurred creation of, and chaired, a Climate Action Committee, served on the Sonoma County Transportation Authority and Regional Climate Protection Authority, and served as a Director for Sonoma Clean Power. 

But his work isn’t limited to elected office, nor to office hours. Chris has worked as Executive Director of Sonoma County Conservation Action (non-profit), promoted green jobs and green transportation, and worked to elect other environmental and climate candidates to office.

Chris understands the importance of diversifying alternatives to fossil fuels and making sure there is access to green energy, and in investing in the technologies to make sure our grid and energy storage are resilient and reliable. He  also supports the kind of design that helps residents make greener choices, such as more accessible public transportation.
