350 Bay Area Action is pleased to endorse Carl Anduri for Lafayette City Council. Carl is a retired lawyer who has been engaged in the design and development of Lafayette for decades. He started on the Lafayette Planning Commission in 1997 and was elected to the council in 2002, where he served for ten years. After retiring from work  in 2020, he returned to the council.

Carl was involved in the city’s creation of the Environmental Strategy Task Force and has served as liaison to this task force. The task force has worked for electrification across the board, from EV charging in multi-family units, to building electrification, to banning gas-powered leaf blowers and setting up an electric blower loaner program.

As Lafayette seeks to fulfill state mandates for new housing, Carl wants to make sure development is people-centered, with a thriving  business community, green spaces, a pedestrian-friendly and bicycle-friendly downtown, and protection for parks and hills.

We look forward to Carl’s continuing service on the Lafayette council.
