Alex Walker Griffin’s passion for civil service began at the very young age of 10. Alex has held various leadership positions and continues to fight for equality and justice as a member of the Hercules City Council.

In his two years on the Council, he has passed and started a variety of climate initiatives such as:

• Passing the Hercules Electrification Ordinance, requiring new development to be 100% electric;
• Successfully fighting for Hercules to join MCE (Marin Clean Energy) Community Choice Energy;
• Successfully advocating to expand EV charging stations; and
• Securing funding for Hercules Hub, a state-of-the-art housing and transportation development in Hercules.

Alex is the California chair of Elected Officials to Protect America (electeds working on climate action), and intends to continue his climate work including working on issue such as electrification in low-income households, opposing new fossil fuel infrastructure, expanding ev charging, and others. 350 Bay Area Action is pleased to endorse Alex Walker Griffin for re-election to the Hercules City Council.
