Los Altos City Council At-Large Candidate Sally Meadows

Sally is an incumbent seeking reelection to the Los Altos Council. She is a retired pharmaceutical/biotechnology marketing executive, a long-time Los Altos resident who has raised children and been an active community volunteer before and while on council. She serves in numerous local and regional roles. These include:

  • Silicon Valley Clean Energy (SVCE)
  • Community Health Awareness Council (CHAC)
  • Santa Clara County Library District
  • North County Library Authority
  • Cities Association of Santa Clara County (2023)

Sally supported the adoption of building decarbonization “reach codes” and the city’s Climate Action Plan. She sees the adoption of all electric buildings and electric vehicles as the quickest way to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by significantly reducing fossil fuel consumption. Sally supports the Air Quality Management District “no NOx” rules to move away from dirty methane gas combustion to cleaner, healthier appliances. In addition she wants to increase access to EV charging, especially in apartments and condos, and wants to see more affordable, multi-family, transit-oriented housing.
