Lissette is an incumbent seeking reelection to the Redwood City Council. She has been a champion for underserved communities with a strong focus on environmental justice. She sits on the city’s Climate Action Subcommittee, where she supported efforts to accelerate electrification of city fleets and improve zero-carbon transportation by promoting bicycling, walking, and electric personal mobility vehicles.

Lissette supported the policy for the city to divest from fossil fuel investment, supports local building decarbonization codes, and the Air Quality Management District “no NOx” rules to move away from polluting methane gas combustion to cleaner, healthier appliances.

Lisette is a caregiver and a  union member of SEIU 2015. She identifies as a Democratic Socialist who believes that local government should address the root causes, rather than just the visible symptoms, of our community’s concerns.
