Joe Simitian is a strong leader who has made substantial contributions to environmental legislation as a climate champion for decades. The Sierra Club highlighted Simitian in the short film Guardians of Nature, where he describes his successful efforts to sponsor and pass a California renewable energy bill in 2006, a water bill in 2009, and many other environmental protection bills to protect the California coastlines, oceans, forests, and wildlife. 

As California State Senator, Assemblymember, Santa Clara County Supervisor, and Mayor of Palo Alto, his unwavering commitment to the environment, fair and affordable housing, healthcare, education, and reproductive freedom has served Californians for decades. 

With over 150 endorsements, including Congresswoman Anna Eschoo, Simitian is well-positioned to represent District 16 in the House of Representatives. However, Simitian is facing competition, so 350 BAA is working hard to ensure he wins the California primary.
