Walnut Creek City Council At-Large Candidate Kevin Wilk

350 Bay Area Action is happy to endorse Kevin Wilk for an at-large seat for Walnut Creek City Council. Kevin has been at the forefront of Walnut Creek’s climate action in his eight years on the council. He pushed for adoption of 100% green energy in the city’s buildings, spearheaded a new electric bus route, worked on or supported elements of the climate action plan – including EV charging in new developments – and increased infrastructure for active, human-powered transportation.

In his first term, Kevin was often a lone voice, pushing for more climate policy. In 2020, the council began tilting more toward real action allowing for more implementation of his initiatives. Kevin makes environmental work a core feature of public service. He has served on:

  • The Transportation Commission,
  • The Board of Directors for Central Contra Costa Transit Authority
  • The Board of Directors for Marin Clean Energy
  • The Environmental Quality Policy Committee for the League of California Cities

Among other pursuits, Kevin wants to continue expanding EV charging and moving the city fleet to electric.
