Republicans are broadly planning to undermine upcoming elections, starting this fall. At a recent conservative Christian conference, Trump announced: “Four more years, it’ll be fixed, it’ll be fine, you won’t have to vote anymore, my beautiful Christians.” This chilling statement is another sign that a second Trump administration would push the US toward an authoritarian government—and the world toward climate disaster.
350 Bay Area Action is collaborating with Activate America in a postcard campaign to support Democrats and defeat Republican extremists in California, Nevada, Arizona, Montana, Nevada, Ohio, Pennsylvania, and New York. Contact Lynne, our Postcarding lead, who will provide you with a list of 20 or more names and addresses of Democratic voters for postcarding. You will receive clear, concise directions to prepare your postcards. Then, simply fill out and send the cards on their way.
To maximize our outreach and ensure that every voice is heard, we’re teaming up with two outstanding organizations for phone banking: Commit to Democracy and the Environmental Voter Project.
At each weekly Wednesday phone bank, we train new callers and support seasoned campaigners. We’ll reach out to voters through two get-out-the-vote efforts: the nonpartisan Environmental Voter Project and the pro-Democratic group Commit to Democracy.
If you’re passionate about turning out the environmental vote and want to join the Environmental Voter Project from 3:30-5pm PT, sign up here!

In 2024, our top priority is defeating Trump and MAGA Republicans to safeguard our democracy and freedoms, protect our planet, support climate justice, and ensure the rights, health, and well-being of all. The best way to protect the environment is to ensure that Donald Trump does not win a second term, while also securing a Democratic majority in the House and increasing the Democratic majority in the Senate. We must elect candidates at all levels who will enact strong laws to tackle climate change.
To secure a Democratic majority in both houses of Congress, another priority of our efforts is influencing California House races. California remains one of the most crucial swing states in 2024, and fortunately, we have promising Democratic candidates who can flip seats from Republican to Democrat. These candidates include Adam Gray (CA-13), Rudy Salas (CA-22), George Whitesides (CA-27), Will Rollins (CA-41), and Derek Tran (CA-45). Additionally, we must ensure the victory of David Min (CA-47), who is running for Katie Porter’s seat.
In addition, we are committed to supporting climate champions running in down-ballot races. State and local roles significantly impact climate-related decisions that affect individuals, local jurisdictions, and frontline communities. We endorse climate-friendly candidates for every elected office, from State Legislatures to Boards of Supervisors and City Councils. Find out more about the 350 Bay Area Action endorsements.
The Trump/Republican battle plan, Project 2025, outlines drastic anti-climate initiatives:
The Biden-Harris Administration has done more for the environment, through both legislation and executive action, than any previous presidency. Although much more is needed, voters have a stark choice between Democrats and Republicans.
The Biden-Harris Administration’s accomplishments include:
In addition to these specific initiatives, it’s clear that under Trump, the US will shift from collaborating and sometimes leading on global climate efforts to undermining and reversing progress.
The president who wins in November may see and be able to fill one or two Supreme Court vacancies – so the Republican majority could either expand under Trump, or be kept as is or reduced by Harris, the presumptive nominee for president. The current Supreme Court majority has already undermined environmental action and drastically reduced US citizens’ rights by:
Going door to door is the most effective form of persuasion. We will provide training and assign buddies for weekend canvassing.
